About Cotillion

Since 1958, the Tucson Symphony Cotillion has celebrated the achievements of exceptional high school seniors, recognizing their academic excellence, community spirit, and support for the symphony. This cherished tradition has honored over 1,300 outstanding students, providing a memorable experience that acknowledges their hard work and the dedication of their families.

The Cotillion fosters grace, service, and friendship through its various events, culminating in a special evening that highlights these young individuals and their accomplishments. This time-honored celebration not only supports the future of these graduates but also strengthens the bond between the community and the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.

The highlight of the Tucson Symphony Cotillion is a touching and memorable moment where young women take to the floor to dance the waltz with their presenters, accompanied by the live music of the symphony. This enchanting tradition creates a profound connection between family members and the arts, adding a personal and celebratory touch to the evening. It exemplifies the Cotillion’s role in fostering meaningful experiences and strengthening community ties while supporting the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s mission.

A time honored tradition

A note from the 2025 Chairman

It is a true pleasure and honor to serve as this year’s Chairperson of the Tucson Symphony Cotillion. Each season is a beautiful celebration of tradition, community, and the arts—and I’m especially proud to help present a group of outstanding high school senior women who exemplify character, service, and academic excellence. Watching them grow through the Cotillion season is incredibly inspiring, and I’m so excited for all that lies ahead for them.

This experience would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible Cotillion Committee. Their time, energy, and attention to detail ensure that every event is thoughtful and memorable, for our debutantes and their families, and for the benefit of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. I’m deeply grateful to be a part of something so meaningful, and I look forward to another unforgettable season.

Warmly,

Ragan Edwards
